to download goto http://download.wsusoffline.net/ to get the most uptodate version, the download sould be in a .Zip file extenshion, u can use the defult windows extractor to extract the contense of this file.
Apon be extracted you will get a group of file like this

Shortly the file will have loaded and you will be presented with a window showing all the current Operating systems, Office Suits and Legacy systems, updates, that you may download, it may auto detect what System your already on and tick the boxes for them.
Pick all appropriate boxes that you need updates for, for my example, i shale download updates for windows 7, 32 bit and 64 bit and save them to a file which i can then move to a usb drive.
Firstly i want to set up what i would like to downlaoad.
For this i want all Microsoft windows 7 updates thats out there, includeing service packs, .NET Framework 3.5 SP1 and 4, and Include MS sercruity essentials definitions.
now the download is ready to begin, just hit start and you will be presented with th downloader, which is in the Command prompt.
When the download has finished you will be presented with a log file showing you how long it took to download a file and the link to the file that you had downloaded.
Then go to where you had selected the path, and copy it to your exturnal drive, or network share.The donloaded files will look some thing like this
To start of an update, on the targted computer, use the "UpdateInstaller.exe" file
Apon launching the file, you will be given a window like this.
Becuse my computer is fully upto date all boxes are grayed out.
Pick what you would like to install, and click start, it will then open up in command prompt and show you what it is installing, what it has installed, and the progress.
apon finishing it, it will display that it has finished installing updates and requests you to restart your computer.
Installing the wrong updates
There is no way you may install the wrong updates, to show you this, i have downloaded the xpdates, and will attempt to run them on windows 7, as soon as i try i get this error.

If you have pick sevral updates and office suits, it will all go in to one files. as soon as you start the updateing prossess, Wsus updater will determing what O/S your runing and what Office suits you have, and only install the required updates
